Founded in 2004, The Momotombo Chocolate Factory is a small artisanal bean to bar operation that produces a diverse range of Chocolates made exclusively with Fine Nicaraguan Cacao.
Nicaragua is a Chocolate makers dream location right in the heart of Mesoamerica. An exuberant tropical paradise formed by fiery volcanoes that both devestate and enrich the land with wild fertility. Our geologicaly young country is also home to some of the worlds finest aromatic Cacao. In fact pre-columbian Chocolate has been in production in this area for more than 3000 years. Chocolate Momotombo strives to honor our rich Cacaoculture by creating delicious Chocolates and training opportunities for a new generation of Nicaraguan Chocolatiers.
